You get to the second year, you feel important: your about to go work for one of these fat cat businesses for a year, you register on their websites and start doing their forms and ten minutes later you close the window and tell yourself you'll finish it later. After a couple of weeks doing this I realise they are all the same, that is, long winded and a waste of time. So I've picked a new method; a CV with a bloody good covering letter backed up with constant nagging of my own - telephone based. I know a recruitment consultant, and she said the big four and other top consultancy firms don't even pay attention to their internet bank of applicants, instead filtering future interviewees through on the criterion of quantitative assets. That's bullshit, and I'm glad I've chosen to get round it instead of underneath.
